Ich finde es nicht so schlimm ... ^^;

Japanese Art Exhibition and Culture Event in Helsinki 2023 - August

Yuki &  Shihomi at the Artmuseum in Tokyo

Since we, Shihomi and I met at the ZEN-TEN Exhibition in Tokyo we both have happenly the same idea to exhibit our artworks in Finland!
When, where, what exactly and how we had no idea the first ....
But now it's gettimg more and more clear, how the event look like :D

Today we had the third Zoom Meetning with Lapinlahden Lähde, in Helsinki, Finland!

 *** Concept ***

"Wa – Harmony"

One of the important foundations of Japanese culture is "Harmony with Nature". There are Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Typhoons, volcanic eruptions, extremely hot summers, dryness, extremely cold winters, much snow, tsuyu rainy season -4,5,6 weeks of rain. ..etc..

So much natural desasters, which human being can not control, and there is only one way to accept and live together with this nature.
Also the nature brings immeasurable wealth and happiness.
Therefore Japanese people believe that, there is power beyond human’s comprehension, namely, the power greater than ourselves.
It’s a kind of god and everything has its own god.

Moreover, 70% of Japan is mountanious area, flat land for farm is less than 20 %, even though agriculture is the foundation of life.

This is one reason why "harmony" is so important in Japan.
Simply to live togehter.

Shihomi and I considered about this cultural background.

Shihomi's basic theme is "Dragon and Phoenix", both are holy creatures.
My basic theme is "Kotodama - spirit of words", the holy power of words. Japanese people believe that Dragon, Phoenix and Kotodama have such invisible power to make humans happy.

We'd like to contribute to making the world a little more peaceful through our presentation of Japanese culture.

"ZEN-TEN-Exhibition Artists from All The Way" Instagram Live August 2022

Actually it was a quite spontaneous idea of me, as I met Hiroto at the ZEN-TEN-Exhibition in Tokyo in this June.

I came from the longest way, probably, Germany to the exhibition in Tokyo but I really wondered that several artists came to be this exhinition from all the way, for example like Hiroto, from Kouchi prefecture in Shikoku.

I thought that moment was so special, the encounter with Hiroto, so to say, kind of wonder or so.
A remarkable young artist, surely grows much greater in the future.
In addition I'm so glad that I find a young artist as an art-friend :D

So I just suggested, "how about when we stream a live together with some more artists from all the way to here ZEN Ten?".

Miho, whom I already followed on instagram, because of her amazing drawings. I think I found her at ZEN Ten exhibition in 2021. Some other fantastic artists participated this exhibition. I was so looking forward to see their artworks and themselves.

Especially I made a vague apoiontment to meet together with her at the exhibirion. Unfortunately I could see her only about 5 seconds. But it was enough to get an impression as a real encounter.

So it was a really nice live, I enjoyed very much.

Only it was a pitty that I failed to keep the live in archive (T.T)

Hope everybody could enjoy our insta live today and we may stream again.

SATORI

Just I notice an Information,
"Goro Tagawa", one of my favorite calligrapy artist is gone,
November 2021 😿

I found this amazing calligraphy works a few years ago
and
I've been checking them from time to time since then.
I am also impressed with his texts about the work,
not only from his amasing works.

If I could write like him ...

I've never met him, Tagawa san.
But
I respected him absolutely.

And I was totally awakend by this Info.
The important thing, I've got is

"Live mindfull at every Moment day by day,
Death is always behind of us."

Like I die someday, everybody dies someday,
also
cats, I love, die someday.

We need to prepare for dying.
However, it is not easy.

First of all, I write about an japanese artist Miho Kunii, I found her in Instagram, draws with ballpoint pens or uses screen tones, lives in Touhoku, Japan.

Hier is her Account of Miho's Instagram, take a look!

Touhoku-district is about 500 km far from Tokyo,
it depends on which city. In 2011 when the huge earthquake attacked Japan, whole Touhoku area has been considerably damaged. Over 10 years ago already. I've been in Japan, Chiba at that time, happenly.
It was so terrible, I never froget it. So I have a special emotion on this area. Actually not only the earthquake but also because of many japanese mythos from Touhoku.
